hope

hope

I was broken for such a long
long time
my life
my hope
all in flames

He stood with me then
in hope
my light
and gave me peace

His strength was there
His love most of all
you can not know what it is
to be so empty
so cold

so

nothing

He does

He loved me
I learned that

hope came again
it was something
it was enough
the center of my heart is back
where I can go
and be with him

a white flame in my soul
there is nothing but He
and I

There will be
there is
peace with Him
peace

Numb Journey to Sight

Stocks are crashing on half know truths, Syria smashing
hope. Someone’s freedom is dying.
NATO is bombing again, and an old man hungers
for the food we toss in the trash.
In London, riots for jobs and hope, children tossed
from homes foreclosed by failing banks.
A life’s journey is crossing these barren sands,
the seeker numb to the worlds pain and lost in his own.
Yet life waits here in the desert, the certainty of Christ.
He is a watered path that enters in to each of the desert pains.
A voice asking to trust and hold His hand and work
at healing, and feeling and knowing the hearts of each
who weeps for lost hope. Show them He says. The way.

Show them.
Show them.
